Wohoo!! have set up a live journal, a much more effective way to store my thoughts and writings on my adventure in the land of New Mexico (helped initally by Pete - see thought id give you some credit!!) went up to the US Embassy on friday in order to get my VISA approval and despite a three hour wait (and rounding a corner and nearly bumping into a policeman weilding a nice big fat gun) all went well and they have allowed me into their country!! am off on the 8th august, a week earlier than needed as going to meet up with dan in chicago who would have finished his stint (or should i say prison sentence?!) with the kids at camp america and then flying to Alburquerque on the 16th. am a bit unsettled as of yet with accomodation as i applied to halls stupidly thinking it would be less stress but have ended up in shared room again and although i was lucky to swap and share with the lovely bex in first yr of sheff, i do not want a repeat of the cat the dog scenrio or for that matter a high pithced 18yr old american fresher!!! el has got a double room too so we're looking into the fact that we could get an apartment nr the uni and students over there said they can help us look....all falling into place mu ahaha!! anyway will keep u updated on whether i find myself homeless or not!!
On the home front all is well, trying to soak up enough of everyone before i go, fi and i got a nice bit tiddly on tues and ended up emailing the boys....hmmmm lucky them!!! edinburgh was wicked, went up for a few days while tim was moving in and olly trying to look for a house and have been down to canterbury to see amber and pete. ooooh em has a new hot tub and we spent a good few hours in there getting nice and pruny with vino, the it got pitch black and started to piss it down but still we didnt move....got far more fascinated with the red lighting of the hot tub that made us think of mordor and helms deep.....dont ask!!!! and we're all off to sheff next fri for the last UG at zero, soooooo excited!!!
well thats all for now!!!!!
